Everybody's list of favorite tripping activities!

Okay, I know about the tripping FAQ on the Shroomery here, but I wanted to make a list of your favorite activities. I think that for every trip, there are 2-3 moments that just stand out as amazingly fun or mind-bendingly awesome. By favorite activities, I don't mean basic things like taking a walk in the forest or watching the Simpsons, I mean things that you wouldn't do unless you were tripping. Here's a couple to get you started: Me and a bunch of friends at a beach house had a total of fourteen glowsticks (!), and one of the more fun things we did was break open three, fill a super soaker with the liquid, and then shoot it all over this patch of sand. From above, it looks like a galaxy of stars across the sand. Amazing. Sadly enough, the glow doesn't show up in photos, so we all looked like idiots staring at the sand. Later that night, we sat around watching Tom and Jerry and giggling at it. (I know that's watching TV, but we would never watch Tom and Jerry if not trippin) Another post I saw mentioned spraying some foamy stuff on a wall and watching it go up the wall instead of down! So, contribute your best activities that you have great memories of, and we'll see how big this list can get!

Im big into summersaults, and rolling down hills, Walking like a goose, etc. On high doses i like having my brain picked by someone.....and doing vice versa.

hahah umm
..i think i can think of was making up some weird shit about a cat being lost in a portal... it was a frisbee with no middle on the floor and i kept telling my friends i heard a cat down there... then i would let out a faint meow or two and act like i was looking into it hehehe i had them laughing their asses off
so basically just being creative with the whole mindset and making pple laugh is my best thing to do... like get a stuffed animal and make it come alive and attack ur freinds! :]

I also enjoy taking a bright light to somewhere really dark outside...turning it on, and trying to catch the moths that it attracts...its really hard, and just gets silly with a few guys hyped up on drugs.

The best thing when tripping with a group of people, is to take a walk outside. We took a walk on our last trip in the city and it was very funny. I've gone into a supermarket once when tripping and that was brilliant, the colours in the fruit and veg section were awesome. Also watching kids TV is really funny. I like Nick junior best, I swear that channel is made for people tripping! lots of bright colours and wierd cartoons.

My most favorite moments have consisted of
- layin' on the sand at night listening to the waves breaking on the shore while grabbing the earth with all my might to keep from being blasted into the universe of stars above, stretching beyond into infinity.
- tripping with a significant other with whom you share a special bond. simply holding each other and listening to music
- drinking something of intense flavor like sparkling wine, or citrus drinks... eating fresh fruit is good too
- smoking a joint out on a deck with a nice view of a lake in the valley below
and many, many more...

1. Walking outside at night, watching the sky 2. Sitting inside looking at someone beautiful, whether it be a work of art or a Christmas tree 3. Sitting in my bedroom with all lights except a blue and red one off, looking at my ceiling and listening to music 4. Watching the world go by out my window 5. Realizing whatever I feel like doing at one particular moment and exectuing those plans

Ive had 1 bad trip...my first time. I was alone, and a mirror was involved. One eye was the size of a grape fruit, and one was the size of a marble, then my face started flaking off like dried cracking clay. The rest of my night was spent manipulating myself into odd, positions, sweating, anxiety, and fear....Exactly like when the guy in trainspotting is locked in his room and going through heroin withdrawl. Terrifying...You guys got balls.

Super Mario World for Super Nintendo while listening to Animals (Pink Floyd if I even need to say it). Sounds like it might be a waste of time, but try it just after you peak, you will see the game in a whole new way . . .
P.S. The music doesn't connect to the game or anything, I just love that album so it's amazing to listen to while tripping. Also, another great game (at least when I took LSD) is SSX Tricky for PS2. You have to know how to play it ahead of time (preferably pretty well), because it's frustrating as hell to learn. However, I had pretty much mastered the game in the weeks before, and with all the sick moves, I could find nothing more beautiful at the time.

Man...don't forget that thing(can't remember the name)....where you can like, stick your face in it(it's made up of a whole bunch of little tiny metal things)...and it will keep the imprint of your face? or anything else you decide to 'push' into the little metal things. like your hand for instance.
anyone know what i'm talkin about? those are very trippy
also..try playing around with a etcha sketch(whatever the real name is). i haven't done this...but now that i think about it...would be cool.

For tripping I like to be alone mostly and listen to music,it is such fun! A couple thing I find fun when tripping is walking around the house or what ever and looking at stuff, when I do this I usealy end up seeing shit that I have never seen before. I also like to get on my computer and draw shit on the paint thing under the start menu, this is fun somtimes and I have some awesome shit I have drawn while tripping or high. I also like to chat and read on the shroomery!

Out where I used to live (on the other side of town), you can find a trail that leads to the Backroads, a pair of dirt roads that line the train tracks on either side. The Backroads have trees and plants growing all around them, with basically no houses in sight. It's a small oasis of undeveloped country area in a city of 85,000 people. There's actually old-school telephone poles lining the tracks, and the poles have been bent by years of windy weather and the vibrations of trains passing by so that they lean at a bunch of different angles. Its fun to trip and look at those old, bent telephone poles lining the grassy ridge of the train tracks...
Me and my friends like to go out there and hike around when we have shrooms.

that's awesome! i have relatives up in northern ca....it's a beautiful place!
my favorite activity(s), depends on how many i can do...usually i can't do much while tripping but sit in awe...would have to be short walks, some video games, smoking just seems so satisfying

1. I collect different trippy lights, so I set them up all over the house. 2. Always play music 3. One time I put glow sticks in my aquarium 4. Once a friend and I sat on my balcony, about 3 stories up and dropped different colored balls of playdough off the side and watched it hit the pavement and splatter, for some reason it was hilarious to watch, we giggled til our bellies hurt. It was really hot out too so eventually it started to melt and run, then cars would drive over it too. So the pavement became very psychedelic. 5. Coloring can be fun 6. I had this awesome ball that was my favorite trip toy. It was called a moon ball. I got it at some science store, anyway it glowed in the dark and bounced like crazy, plus it had this great rough texture to it. We would both lie on our backs across the room from each other and throw it up in the air, towards the other person back and forth. It was cool to watch it come hurdling down at your face and to catch it just b4 it got there. 7. Being outdoors with no one else around.

They make frisbees with lights in them. Its got like 6 or bright lights powered by a watch battery in the middle. Its awesome as hell. I actually was at the guys house that invented them. I forgot about it and found them in a major store a year later. 20 dollars

I haven't ever been swimming while tripping. I figure it can be dangerous, but also fun if you have some people monitoring you. You don't want to black out or anything in the pool. Anyways, I usually want to spend most my time in nature. I would absolutely love to swim in the ocean, but I guess that brings more safety hazards into the picture.

My list 1) go CAMPING!! Get to a nice secluded spot (i'd tell ya where mine was but then it wouldn't be so seculded!), gather up a LOT of firewood (a few friends spending an hour can gather enough for an all night blazing fire) Dose just as the sun goes down, smoke a joint around the fire, then melt
2) Sit in a hot tub. While I used to just chill in my bathtub smokin and listenign to Juno Reactor, we now have an outdoor jacuzzi (or whirlpool, sauna, whatever the big bubbly tub of water is called) So, I hop in that, toss a few blue glowsticks into the bottom of it for ambient lighting, turn the bubbles on, and FRY
3) SEX! Why has noone mentioned this? Sex with a partner who's tripping is simply the best thing ever
4) art museums - I've never had aproblem here, probably beacuse most artsy types are into drugs :P
5) trip at a huge riot - just kidding
6) go EXPLORING! somewhere new and with few people (i.e. the outdoors) Gotta love it just be sure to bring some flashlights and glowy things
7) While getting a tattoo- this is insane, but you can learn to disassociate mind from body real good

I always like taking a shower when I trip, but what makes it even more fun is to turn off the lights turn on a strobe light and adjust it until the water droplets coming out of the shower head look like their suspended in mid air. Very trippy

I was only about 12 and hadn't gotten into tripping yet when I tried this, but.. A friend and I used to go into his basement and bring this set of glow-in-the-dark dominoes. We'd turn off all the lights, and throw them at each other. You couldn't see where the other person was.. you'd just see trails of light zipping around. I think that'd be crazy on mushrooms/acid. You kind of lose track of everything when you're wandering around in complete darkness like that.
I don't know if I'd still be interested in "playing" like that.. but on shrooms or acid, who knows

hey everyone, this is my first post here. looked like a good topic...
i like to set my whole pad up for trippin'. i got hundreds of balloons, blew them up and filled the floor with them. then i broke glowsticks on some of the balloons, and covered the walls in a small room. under my bed, i had a tv on with just fuzz on. it lit up the balloons by my bed. i have huge tapestries and wall hangings with trippy shit on them. strobe lights, blacklights, things that glow well in blacklight, light toys, and things like that are good to have on hand.

God damn! I read through six pages of "video games/music/and glowy stuff" hoping that I could be the first one to post "Take a shower with the lights off"! lol!
I've never tried it with a strobe like though, That sounds super trippy!

I second showering with a stobe light on. I literally thought I had died and gone to heaven.
For the adventurous, get some finger paints, preferrably dayglow (make sure they are non toxic). Fingerpaint your face. Or, better yet, strip and fingerpaint your whole body (thats what the shower was for). In a group its seriously freaky. Four of us did it and there is something profoundly surreal about a human voice coming out of a living dayglow fractal.

2 - Set up a room with blankets, pillows, bean bags, coloured lights, stereo, a few of your favourite psychedelic albums ready to play back-to-back, nitrous dispenser (weeee!)... get naked, snuggle up under the blankets with your partner, turn up the music and...

one thing i love at the start of a trip is playing cards
starting off on a game like crib and as you start to feel more and more wasted go down to games like poker and then ending up on playing snap, its so fun just to laugh about how you slowly start to be unable to play a game so you have to move down to the next.

This is sort of a daily activity but going on a really long bike ride is amazing just looking at all the trees and nature and it feels so relaxing.

Biking (preferably on a nature trail)
Taking a long shower, fogging up the mirror, drawing your outline, and finishing the "painting".
Eating fruit
Talking with your best friends
Laughing with your best friends
Believing it's not going to rain "No way!" until it begins to pour and storm right on top of you, as you submit and wholly embrace what Mother Nature has decided for that time.
Watch flowing water
Play with your pet(s).
Going to the beach (secluded is better, day or night) Go for a run (low dose)
Smoke a bowl if you think it's not too strange
Play ping-pong
Play frisbee
Listen to music unless it's too intense
Think of past problems and work out solutions
Write a poem, draw a picture, paint a picture (finger painting- I've yet to do it tripping, I can only imagine!)
Wild fruit hunting
Lastly... close your eyes and ask yourself why you trip.

I love to trip on shrooms and dank pot brownies and got to 3-D Imax theater its like being in the movie the 3-d colors are vivid and intoxicating. Also something i love to do while tripping is to go to an aquarium is pretty sweet on psychedelics.Last night i tripped on DXM in the desert and it was definitely interesting pink clouds and floating was experienced.Anyway i would suggest a supper awesome 3-d movie or a planned trip to the wilderness(always fun)

Good thread idea - I have a few most memorable tripping moments and everytime activities...
1. Trying to explain to my girlfriend during my first shroom, she was sober, that the convergence of X and Y on the universal grid was proof of the immortal soul - I was immersed in religious studies at the time and I'm pretty sure my lack of articulation along with the zealous conversational subject matter were the downfall of that particular relationship. Typically go back to this mentality at least once during a good trip... a good bit of reassurance from this harsh and hostile world in which we live.
2. Trying to take a shit and failing misserably. Or... sitting on an imaginary bm after the first intense wave hits.
3. Drinking water.
4. Touching things that are alive or were once living... especially dried out mj leaves - watching as the moisture coming from my fingers slowly revitalizes the leaf and it unwinds 5. Listening to animals, birds and insects when out of doors and out of cities and trying to "understand" their language, also attemping to mimic the noises with the occasional bit of luck - one of my favorite occasions involved a huge open field and the intense chatter of insects, grasshoppers crickets etc - playing air drums to accompany their orchestral arrangements...
6. Picking out a single star or constellation and staring at it unblinking... enough said
7. Knowing that the ridiculous shit-eating grin on my face is a good thing, and then coming out of it with some added sympathy for the rest of the people I know or have yet to meet.
8. Last, but definately the best thing ever to do when tripping - find the most immense set of sand dunes within your general vicinity... climb to the top... then take a running start and long-stride your way down that dune like your running in half gravity... Eureka dunes outside of Death Valley is my personal favorite - just imagine jumping down the side of a mountain of sand and going airborn for 2-3 seconds, landing without a hitch and doing it again - half hour to climb up the 600+ ft... 30 seconds to get back down... cheers

Get some good friends, find a mostly empty room with a bed, bring all your houses pillows there, turn on some good music and swim in the pillow mountain. Some of my favorite times have been had lost in that sea of pillows. When you run into one of your friends in there its so funny. Turn off all the lights for added fun.

Why do some people justify driving around while on shrooms? is the exact same thing as driving wasted. just worse.. and its still punishable if you get stopped. even more if you crash or run someone over.
no matter the dose or substance its stupidity..

Alcohol is the only drug I won't drive on. with lsd, mescaline, etc, I can just do it automatically. And not just driving, I can do anything I need to do. Working on 2 tabs is fun, selling subs with your mother on 6 is even better. My motor functions and general thought process is still okay. But with alcohol, even if you think your okay, there is always the chance of blacking out.

Anything natural is awesome on LSD. Nature is even better on Mescaline. Although, with LSD, synthetic things can also be really cool, I don't tend to get much with mescaline.

I just like to write and meditate while tripping
.. though I was once in 95mph winds as a tornado passed nearby an outdoor rave in Chicago while feeling 3 very strong hits of acid. that was amazing but my festival tripping days are over
