Video games and tripping

So has anyone here ever played a video game when tripping? I remember my first time, I was playing Dungeon Fighter Online, just waiting for the trip to come up and I didnt really notice at first that it had hit me, until things on the screen just kinda started twisting together.. I was a little shocked but it was all good.
Has anyone else here done this.. maybe you guys dont have time for video games, not everyone does, but they're my way of escaping and using up some free time.

I'm pretty sure if I played basketball I'd go for a dunk and get stuck on the hoop just there dazing out and looking at everything from a higher angle.

I've tried to play Halo but it's borderline impossible to get into that mindset if I'm tripping.

I was playing counter strike on 3.5 grams a few years ago.. I got a few rounds in, popped some shots off at someone, ran around a corner to hide and reload, and noticed my heart was pounding and I was sweating.
I took that shit way too seriously tripping.
Now I like to stick to that game my friend has for PS2 where you roll shit up into a ball, fun as hell tripping balls.

Super Smash Brothers on N64! man, the first time I took shrooms, I was playing with my buddies and it started sounding all robotic and felt flat out WEIRD! I felt as if I I can feel electronic pulses surging through me. I also played that game on DXM once..pretty fun(doesn't beat eating french fries off the street though**Ben joke**!)
I must also note my last shroom trip. It was on July 4th. I took an eighth dry right after I ate 10 sliders from white castle. I guess that was a lame idea because it made my mushrooms kick in much later than expected. A bit over an hour passes not feeling anything, so I smoke a bowl and I started playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 on PS2 trying to rack up a ton of points. Now it's an hour and a half after I consumed the shrooms and I start feeling really weird. I kept getting extremely lost in what I was doing on the screen and I couldn't even tell if I was scoring high. These numbers just looked foreign so I instantly turn off the system and lay down. It was a rough trip because everything felt so spread out(trip wise). The first half was a weird body high, then the second I just felt extremely lethargic. I felt as if the psilocybin effects just got individualized instead of sticking together(it's hard to explain)..awkward was basically how I felt.
There was one great moment though, where I closed my eyes and hummed "ohmmmmm" and saw this silver "energy ball" centering with this open slot in my vision, centering more proper with the resonance of my voice. Pure bliss, and I think it it made me really horny.
-------------------- If there were no rewards to reap,No loving embrace to see me through This tedious path I've chosen here,I certainly would've walked away by now. Gonna wait it out. If there were no desire to heal The damaged and broken met along This tedious path I've chosen hereI certainly would've walked away by now. And I still may ... (sigh) ... I still may.Be patient. I must keep reminding myself of this.

That happened to my friend, but he was playing GTA, he thought he was in the game for real, and when he crashed into a wall he jumped up, smashed the controller on the floor and shouted 'SOMEBODY CALL AN AMBULANCE, HELP, PLEASE!' but he got over it after about five minutes of us trying to calm him down.

i tried to play halo 3 on acid once. the single player was too much so instead i switched over to a saved movie of a campaign level i'd beaten. it was sooo much fun, i couldn't get over the fact that i could fast forward and rewind time, and i took so many screen shots of explosions and particle effects that i filled up my hard drive
after i spent a few hours doing that though i was kind of upset because i felt like i'd wasted the trip. i usually prefer to be outside.

sounds like the only thing you can do on Halo during a trip.
Seems like racing would be more fun. I've played Need for Speed with my girl high as fuck on cocaine before, it was cool.

GTA4 and gears of war 2 are also awesome to play while frying.

Of course, I like to play left4dead online with my friends on LSD or audiosurf with my favorite music.
I just found out that Nvidia recently released these 3D glasses that let you play about 350 games in real 3D, like those movies. I can't wait to try that while tripping, hopefully I can get all the hardware for christmas.

Actually, that's Katamari Damacy or We Love Katamari, Beautiful Katamari is for the 360. I've never played those games tripping, but they rock when you're stoned.
I've tripped 5 times in my life, and only one of those times I was playing video games. Soul Calibur 4 on mushrooms, I kicked ass too, better than I generally am sober. Not to mention the game was so hilarious on mushrooms, all the ridiculous things the narrator and characters say.

Remember playing GTA4 once on a Lemon Tek of close to 3.5, so crazy. I would look into the background and it would look as though it were a million miles away. I would get so lost in it. I was just walking up to trees in the game and punching them

I was coming home from a show last week, and this girl and I stopped by at some guys she knows to pick up a bag on the way back.
This was when I was still peaking on about 3 decent hits of lsd. Well we went inside the dude house, and he was just kicking it playing Left 4 Dead on a big screen tv.
While he rolled up a blunt I spent about 10 minutes playing and by the time I gave the controller back my hands were drenched in sweat and they were shaking pretty hard too, .

Usually takes me out of a trip, like most electronic media. However on a comedown sometimes I crave childlike things. One of the best being: play an old video game and make some pasta with a friend :-)

I more enjoy watching people play video games while tripping rather than playing them myself. I get too lost in them most of the time.
On a come up of 4g's of shrooms I was playing Fight Night Round 3 with a few friends and destroyed them all. I'm usually not very good but I could anticipate their moves and was just laughing the entire time as I whooped their ass.

Sorry if I came across as saying "taking me out of a trip" was always the worst thing in the world. Music is of course great, can make you experience things you never would while listening sober. But to really get deep... silence, conversation, self-made music, or nature sounds are the best. Don't get me wrong, I listen to music at some point during every trip.
Films and video games make me very antsy and give me the classic "I need to go do something else" trip feel. I am very fidgety naturally though.

I had a similar experience, but with Soul Calibur 2

So even music takes you out of a trip? I love nature, but even when outside I love to having music playing. Tripping to me is all about music.
All a matter of tastes. I have gone into different worlds on Mushrooms and Music. Stories as long as LOTR or any book unfolding within a mere 20 minutes. I can have music on and still feel the natural vibes of the planet. I feel without music while tripping that I am lost. That I am away from the world, music makes me feel connected to everything. Cannot wait to trip again. I have taken LSD twice in the last month but both were low doses, need to go deep again.

One of my favorite hobbies!
I used to play Tetris Attack with my friend while on mushrooms. I would enter a crazy zen-like state, where I could see all the combos.. I became god-like. No one could beat me!

you're IN the fucking game lol.
this is especially apparent with Sonic Adventure Battle 2. lots of loops and spinning and running at high speed across landscapes. simply amazing.
and also Super Mario Sunshine. I don't even play the game I just run around with my squirt gun squirting people and zipping around the island with my water jet pack. best thing ever.

Do you guys have any qualms with first-person shooters while tripping? I haven't been able to play them sober in years. Or I just don't want to. Violence-steeped culture kind of sickens me.
Doesn't it ever make you feel ... dirty? I think splattering someone's brains against a wall would send me into a bad thought loop. Especially if it felt like the game was real.

I don't know man. I kind of think the opposite, but then again I'm totally down to play GTA 4 anytime stoned and just drive down the sidewalks. Killing people in real life is most definitely wrong, but in a video game? Its fun as fuck. I'm a pretty spiritual person too, but I have no problem killing something that does not have any real life to it.

Yeah, I know video games won't turn us into killers. It's just the idea of being entertained by that kind of thing. Maybe I'm just sensitive.

One time on mushrooms my friend was playin GTA IV, and it was just too much for a little while. I was tripping really really hard, and I was focusing on the AI and random pedestrians in the game rather than what my friend was doin. I'd see one person running down the street chasing after someone else and wonder wtf just happened in another part of the game while I wasn't there. One old lady pulled out a baseball bat. It was weird

Video games usually get really weird and I can only play them for about a half hour tripping before I lose interest.
But COD:WAW was pretty intense tripping... I have no problem splattering a pixelated charters head across the screen tripping or not.
Skate is a good game if a trip is getting overwhelming and you need something to take your mind off things and help you calm down, it feels very smooth and fluid... almost hypnotizing and very calming indeed.
I generally like shooters more though... the right one can really get the adrenaline flowing.

the exact opposite for me. i was playing counter-strike source on 4-5g of cubes and it was awesome watching headshots. it looked so real and i thought it was the coolest thing to put a bullet in the guys head and watch him slam into the wall. i was much more focused than usual and i was getting noscope headshots with the scout like i had hacks on lol.
