who has tried boletus badius(bay boletes)?
i heard people like them. what do they taste like?

just wondering because i read that it's the only other organism that contains L-Theanine, other than green tea.

i have an anxiety problem and have found that theanine helps me quite a bit

I really like bay boletes. Not as good as ceps, way better than red-cracked. Difficult to describe the taste, pleasantly boletey, not that strong, and they're softer than ceps. They have a good write up in all my mushroom books. A nice thing is that they seem less susceptible to maggot attacks than some boletes, and they dry nicely (sliced) for storage.

the link says it's psychoactive...probably doesn't mean hallucinogenic since the FDA hcleared it as a supplement, but I could be wrong.
Have you experienced it?

psychoactive means that it can pass the blood brain barrier and you can feel it's effects.

theanine just makes you more relaxed/calm and awake. and has a few neuroprotective effects, and good for your liver and immune system.
those thing are proven, anything else you read from a company is most likely a lie
