Anyone ever had someone just start talking to you in walmart for no apparent reason? I was looking at fishing lures and some guy walks up and just starts talking about catfish. Not to be an asshole, but I'm there to get something and leave, some people just hang around walmart because they don't have anything else to do. I don't think I could go there tripping. If that kind of thing happened, I would be terrified.

*random people creeply talk to you*

it's probably just a mindset. I bet if I actually did go into a walmart on acid it wouldn't seem as bad.

True, but it's not the employees, it's the other customers. I don't mind employees doing that, I think it's part of their job. It's just when I go to the store, it's usually to pick up a lot of stuff at a time for random projects or household needs. I must have ADHD or something, because when someone says something to me, it interrupts my thought process and I spend 5 minutes trying to remember what I was about to go find.

I could probably go with a couple of sober friends if I was tripping, but alone doesn't not sound fun. I see myself standing in an aisle for 30 minutes deciding which fruit snacks to buy or something.

one time I went in to buy a heater for my fish. and the guy behind me in checkout started talking to me about how I shouldn't have the heater on while it's out of the water, because it'll explode. then he got into how he keeps/hunts fish as a hobby.
he was a cool guy, though. hippy fish breeder..

Wally mart is one of the most sterile places I've seen in the DSA.

Their produce section is awful. Last time I was there I spotted moldy fruits and fruit flies hovering above.

Farmer's market FTW.

I really don't look that deeply into shopping for.......anything.

When I go to Wal-mart, I like to go into the dressing room and sit there for a few minutes before starting to yell, "Hey Y'all. Yer outta toilet paper in here!"

haha. I'm actually part mexican. but It's mostly the atmosphere and vibe Walmart gives off that unsettles me. how perfect an example of corrupt capitalism it is, the fluorescent lighting. it's probably not even the people.
the people are a big part of it, though..

I went to a WallyMart a few years ago, (I was looking for a certain item and I couldn't find anywhere else - what can I say?) I grabbed a shopping cart and immediately, some redneck walked right in to me. I saw lots of fat in spandex too. All in all, it was a most horrifying experience. :argh:

Wally world is a bad trip into reality. Whenever I go there I'm reminded that these people populate the country. The scarily fat people shopping for more food, single mom with a litter of kids, annoying stupid people who have no regard for you. I feel like it's my duty as a sane person to steal from the store. I have to disrupt their billions in profit by taking whatever I need from such a shitty store. It's a huge corporation and they won't miss it if some jeans are missing, or some SD cards, or growing supplies.

Some buddies and I were trippin on acid in Wal-Mart and I noticed the same thing. After watching 2,000 snot nosed mexican kids run around the store my buddy yells "GOD YOU PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTING!". After receiving some weird looks we hurried up and checked out.

My girlfriend and I used to save literally hundreds of dollars in the self-checkout line. Wal-Mart is a corporate monster and deserves to be looted.

That's a decent rationale, but it's still stealing.
