Stale-lookin' MYC

Hey guys,

Went to my buddies yesterday to check up on his jars for him. They all look pretty good except one has a section of some "older-looking" myc. It's not very off-color, but it is more granular than healthy myc and appears just old & dry. I've pulled it aside -- should he discard?
