GOD, LOL!!!
    #11260814 - 10/16/09 05:49 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

Fact: Every single human being who believes in "God" has a different definition for the term (i.e- no two people have the exact same idea of what "God" is).

It follows then, that, if "God" is real, only one person who believes in "Him" is right about "His" existence.
So either everyone, with the exception of one person, who believes in "God" is wrong, or the God theory is false. :satansmoking:

Or perhaps God is beyond all possible conceptions of what God is

Or perhaps God is a tool created by the scam that is Organized religion, which is in turn a tool used by politicians, liars and control freaks to divide people into groups, thus making them easier to control. If religion was man made, it would look exactly like it does... Self-righteous, corrupt and constantly trying to push their ridiculous belief systems on other people.

It doesn't really matter how they define it, if there is a god it is not something the human mind could begin to grasp conceptually.

Also that is not factual evidence, just highly likely.

If my definition of compassion differs from yours, does it necessarily cease to exist?

Quite so, experience is the main factor

to experience God-Consciousness is the heart of all religions
then people who have people-consciousness fuck it all up...

So if "God" is beyond all possible conceptions of what "God" is, then why do so many people even have a conception of God?

Apparently, your conception of God is that it is a phenomenon that is beyond all possible conceptions of what it is; really, this makes almost no sense, but whatever.

Do you even have any reason to believe that "God" may be "beyond" all possible conceptions of it/"Himself"? :strokebeard:

Whatever it is, it's not real. :shake:

If people cannot even grasp at this phenomenon called "God", then why do billions of people attempt to grasp at this phenomenon called "God"? :strokebeard:

The literal answer to this question is "No.".

And yet the entire experience is located entirely within your body, created by your own endogenous chemicals. I certainly think there is an emotion for God, but to take that to meaning there is one is the step I won't take myself.

I know we're talking about "a" God, not a specific one... But this basically goes for all of them, mistranslated one way or another.

Belief is in what we have created within our mind.
For nowhere else do things exist.
Since we created it first and then believe in it, that makes it unoriginal.
Only an original 'god', 'truth', 'reality' or what have you, can be believed in.
But this believing is not an idea in our mind.
It is our mind...

The only deity -AND- Sage with true sight I've met is Salvia.

No God anywhere in sight.
I'll believe what I personally experience directly.

Can you identify the "mystical" mechanism you apparently suppose accounts for this phenomenon? :strokebeard:

You do realize that polytheism came before monotheism right? - Nevermind.

Wow, what a heated conversation huh?

hahaha, I just wanted to mention I hold no grudge against you or your understanding of this reality.
Just in case you misunderstood, but I doubt you did... You seem intelligent enough.
