fruiting question

ok so i'm a first timer and i got 7 cakes going, they all have nice fat pins, but one has a few full shrooms on it, i cant eat them for sure tonight, but for SURE this weekend.

i'm wondering if i should just leave them there for a few days or pick them and preserve them? the spores already dropped.

If they opened and dropped, feel free to pick.. use an easy drying method (tek) and enjoy this weekend. Just pick cleanly :smile: 

A slight twist at the base, or get surgical with a scalpel... or..?

i would pick them if the spores have already dropped there to mature anyway IMO...if you just pick em and put em in the fridge theyll be fine until the weekend...

also, i was thinking of just grinding them up and leaving them in lime juice a few days, then drinking that, instead of drying them. sound reasonable?

Umm..

They can be left, but expect more spore mess.. more spore mess.. can stunt growth a little for the lower pins.. I lemon juice right before I eat.. not days in advance.

Well I would pick them you "could" leave them on just not for to much longer. You could try soaking them in lime juice I would only soak them for up to 24 hours thoe

Just weight them before putting them in the fridge because they will lose some weight while in there.

i would personally just eat them as soon as they came off the cake....but thats just me :smile:

get a fan on them for 24 hours, then 24 hours desiccant chamber, and you're good to go.

Its just preference for me especially with fresh fruits I would not want them soaking for more then 24 hours. Im not sure but they could oxidize the longer in the fridge ??

you can, but normally it only takes 24 hours or less for them to be adequately dry enough to go into the desiccant chamber, or to be cracker dry, respectively

i want em pretty soggy :smile: i've never taken more than 3g (of good shit) and am thinking of taking 5g (52g wet)


maybe just half at a time? i've heard pf shrooms can be weak.

What PF shrooms can be strong all mine have always been. 2.5 grams is what I usually do off my cakes. I would stick with 35 wet in lemon man

well, i had 4.5 in tea with lots of lemon juice a couple of weeks ago....and while i was listening to music, all i saw for CEV's for the longest time was neon colored people dancing in wierd shapes at a rave...aside from a close ego death, i'd say it was awesome.

yeah, ill drink half and if it kicks in good enough, ill give my roomie the other half.


and IME, I use the lime tek because i worry about the heat breaking down the psilocybin, i figure the acids in the lime will bring out the goodness just as well as the tea with no potency lost

i think it's more the acid breaking down the shroom than it doing something in your stomach or even very molecularly

two or three times i have actually combined the two, make tea with very hot water then mix in lemon juice with the tea...
