If the temperatures are above 35 degrees and it's raining, it can't hurt to go looking. I'd personally try Searching on the site for "Australia psilocybe" and see what hits you get from Oct through Dec.

Your chances of finding Psilocybe subaeruginosa are slim to none at this time of year, but you never know. The season started winding down at the start of September and since then very few finds have been posted. Also your chances of finding cubensis in Vitoria are about 0%.

Psilocybe cubensis being found in the wild in Tasmania is a total hoax IMHO. Cultivated, yes, but not growing outside by itself. Psilocybe cubensis are a subtropical to tropical species, the climate in Tasmania is not suitable for them to occur naturally. Psilocybe cubensis grow in the northern parts of NSW. As you know that goes almost as far up north as Brisbane, which is a region with quite a different climate than Victoria. Asking why cubes don't grow in Victoria is like asking why bananas don't grow in Finland.
