Flavored paper ban..

Since the FDA decided that we're unable to handle the responsibility of rolling papers with flavor and banned them, does that mean it's illegal to have them as well sell them, or just illegal to sell them? And what do you imagine the consequences are for being caught with these illicit papers?

hmm.. alright. i googled it, and apparently there's actually a federal lawsuit by HBI International against the FDA as the ban applies to cigarettes and its components (paper, tobacco, filter), but does not specifically state a ban on those components packaged separately. seems like a long-shot though. so i suppose the ban does extend to flavored papers.
fucking absurd. tell me, what child is able to roll their own fucking cigarettes? i can't believe they were actually able to pass such a ridiculous ban.

meh.. flavored papers are kinda low-brow anyways. i can understand flavored papers if you're smoking mexi-brick spliffs. but i want to actually taste the weed i buy, unadulterated by artificial flavors.
i won't miss 'em, but it's fucking gay that there's a ban in the first place.

It boggles my mind that just as a ban goes out on flavored products to, "save the children", tobacco companies have begun selling, "dissolvable tobacco". That shit is straight up nic candy.

This ban on flavored cigs is seriously fucking bullshit. I hope they go through customs safely when I order them from Indonesia.

I doubt that's the real issue. I'm pretty sure congress/president was lobbied by the tobacco companies to ban them cause it cuts out their foreign competitors.

I remember seeing some thread about Marlboro advertising in some African country.
A country where there was a huge amount of really young smokers(10 years old and less).
On the packs, there was some doodle competition and the winner got a day out at an amusement park or something sick like that

I have a good friend who only smoked cloves and they are going insane.
I don't have a problem with them banning flavored papers or cigs. Smoking is a nasty habit. Its expensive addictive as shit and kills you.
I started smoking when I was 13 and it took more then 10 years to quit.
The older I get the more I like the taste of just plan ol weed. Flavored papers you wont be missed.

I won't miss flavored cigs personally, but I think it's utter bullshit that we have regulations against them.
Check this article for some not so surprising statistics. http://kickert.info/blog/2009/08/26/smoking-prevention-big-tobacco-and-clove-cigarettes/

circularvortex said: "A relatively small number of these had smoked clove cigarettes (6.8 percent of the 20 percent who had smoked) and candy-flavored bidi cigarettes (1.7 percent).
Philip Morris’ reasons for this stipulation are as clear as the numbers. Menthol cigarettes, which add up to 28 percent of cigarettes purchased in the United States, are used by a significant number of teenagers and an even more significant number of minority youths.
Thus, clove cigarettes (which represent .09 percent of all cigarettes purchased in the United States), and flavor cigarettes (which have an even smaller market share) are a red herring."
I knew it, the "preventing kids from smoking" was just a cover up to the real reason they wanted to ban them.
