 Enneagram - system of personality type...

Familiar with this? It is a Sufi system of personality typing. I am confused because I used to consider myself a 4 when I first studied it 3 years ago. Now, it looks like I have changed to an 8. I didn't even know it. Somehow I thought a person just stayed the type they were but I guess it's not true.

we evolve... its natural! the only thing you can rely on is change... (and death, but to me death just is a transition... a change) 
ive never done an enneagram... you got me interested right there... whats it about? is it like the jungian personality model?

Like I said, it's a Sufi thing. I don't know Jung all that well, mostly becuase it's a huge amount of work and I am overwhelmed at the concept of studying Jung seriously...
Basically the enneagram types 8 (thus ennea). When you figure out what you are it goes into how this manifiests in your life. It gives ways of using how you are to your benifit and the benifit of others. Sufis are cool....

Certain portions of the personality can change over time, particularly if a person is young. The older we get the more likely it is that our personality fossilizes. I am a high introvert and have been as long as I can remember. I keep few friends. I stay to myself. And I like it that way.
The song "Who can it be now?" was an anthem of mine for a long long time.

I am not young by shroomery standards which is why I was so shocked to see how much I changed. I think most of it had to do with finally evolving a little by not being such a lush.....

I took the free online sample test and it says I'm a:
Type 5
The Investigator
The Intense, Cerebral type; Perceptive, Innovative, Secretive, and Isolated.
"Fives are alert, insightful, and curious. They are able to concentrate and focus on developing complex ideas and skills. Independent, innovative, and inventive, they can also become preoccupied with their thoughts and imaginary constructs. They become detached, yet high-strung and intense. They typically have problems with eccentricity, nihilism, and isolation. At their Best: visionary pioneers, often ahead of their time, and able to see the world in an entirely new way. "
After reading over each type's description, I think that type 5 is the one that fits most... Cool.

So folks who took the test- do you think it fits? I didn't look at that site too much since I have read so much about it already. It came back up recently because this shrink I know is getting way into it and saying it's the shit. to me it's just another tool for self realization....
