Soaking before first flush rez effect..
    #11254535 - 10/15/09 06:34 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

Is this adviseable? I heard that rez effect is only good for no more than 3 flushes, so I was wondering if I can get the most out of the substrate by doing an initial soaking.  I am using a monotub.

Also, I know this has been debated greatly, but should I fruit it cased or uncased?  I have a 64 qt monotub with the substrate only being 2 and 1/4 inches in height in the monotub.  I have read through alot of threads and I can not make a decision on this.

edit: if i don't do a soaking, do you think that after the first flush the substrate will make up for it if I do not soak first flush but soak for the second flush?

an initial soaking of a fully colonized sub should nt be needed if the sub was hydrated to begin with..

your sub is shallow but it should work, in your case i would case it just to help add that extra moisture you will need for the second and third flushes

:pm: me if you have questions about lasers

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.
