LC Colonization time?
    #11253944 - 10/15/09 05:10 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

I made an LC with about 200 ml of medium and 1cc of ms solution. How thick should the myc get? It's got clouds but it's not evenly distributed throughout the jar. Just in one or two spots. It has been colonizing for 7 days.

yea at least the same for me.  You want to make sure that when you suck some up in a syringe you see nice pieces of myc in the syringe

I'd hold for around 14 days like was said.  I have however used one at around 7 days w/out any issue.

yea the culture sticks together, so by shaking it you are allowing it to further grow. ;0)

I kinda of use the times of shaking a bag or jar.. initially and at 30%.. that is all. I use that cabinet, that's hard to get at, above the fridge, to store it.. because I really want to shake it  ..lol, but I am no LC pro

Gently swirl it daily.  Break it up w/ a more vigorous shake before you take some out for jars.
