Declare Your Independence

So I was reading the Declaration of Independence of the United States and thought that it would be very appropriate to rewrite portions to fit the situation of today. It's hard to deny that the american people have a lot of reasons to be pissed off with the government right now, and so we should probably express it somewhat formally. I've offered up a few suggestions and would like to have everyone add on a piece or two. All of my additions/alterations are in bold.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.






Such has been the patient sufferance of these United States; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present United States Government is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

The use of public funds and the misuse of legislative, executive, and judicial authority to favor the ascension of multinational and transnational corporations to a level of power and influence which directly threatens the rights and liberties of United States citizens and many others around the globe. Our government has effectively become a Corporate-Congressional Complex.

The Congress is derelict in it's duty by allowing the President of the United States and the organs of the Military Industrial Complex to carry out illegal, and immoral wars at great cost to the American People and the victims of such wars.

The Congress has become nearly ubiquitously corrupted by the inordinate influence of lobbyists, special interests, and foreign interests and consistently fail to meet the needs and expectations of their constituency.

The unequal preference for upholding the rights of Corporations legally defined as Persons while simultaneously disenfranchising Natural Persons of such rights in direct violation of the intents and purposes of legitimate governance.

The abuse of "National Security" Laws and Agencies to subvert the constitution, cover-up and breed corruption, and carry out heinously immoral acts against individuals, groups, and populations.

With the acquiescence of the United States Government the American Public has been deliberately and systematically defrauded by Private entities such as the Federal Reserve through inflation, manipulation of markets, usury, and unconstitutional taxation.

might as well throw the declaration of independence down the toilet.  The USA hasn't been independent well, pretty much ever.

The USA began making treaties, compromises, and reparations with the British not long after the revolution.

Treaty of paris

Jay Treaty

I Conject the USA compromised with Britain.  Though legally the USA was now independent, actually they compromised.

The Treaty of Paris is irrelevant as it was not made with the United States of America, but the Confederation (1784).

The Jay Treaty has nothing to do with the dependence or independence of the United States.

You have a myopic understanding of the Constitution, and history! Only left-wing liberal malcontents hate the U.S. Government, most people are upset with the politicians that are in it for themselves.  Our Government is by far the best, leave our Constitution alone!:peace:

Right there is nothing wrong with Constitution.
Especially the right to bear arms,which I would like to think was set forth to keep our government in check.
Why cant I find any 762x39 rounds anymore dammit?

Academy Sports had some.... $5.69 a box, They had some .223 also.

Hoping prices come down a bit more over the winter.

500rnds just doesnt sound like enough once you have it.

Yea thanks! The ammo is getting kind of pricey and plentiful out there.
223 would be the next round of choice.
I just hate the idea of kicking in my living room wall
and restocking but desperate times may call for desperate measures.
Gotta get to home depot.
