New Greenhouse - what to grow?
    #11250302 - 10/15/09 02:28 AM (8 years, 9 months ago)

A freind of mine has just constructed a greenhouse, and wants some suggestions as what other entheogens to fill it with? This is what he has so far

Ganja
P. cubensis
Psychiotria alba/viridia
Papaver somniferum

Thanks in advance.

Oh forgot to mention the cacti!

also growing peruvian torch and san pedro.

is peyote worth the time involved? my (freind's) only option is starting from seeds. I'm 50/50....

growing it for eating, no.

growing it to admire its beauty and to have something special, yes.

Also, chili peppers.

No way on these two!  Both can be grown easily during the growing season, do not need to be concealed and will take up way too much in your greenhouse.  The morning glories will go crazy!  The tobacco requires a lot of root space and a lot of nutrients.  Perhaps growing the morning glories would help hide anything you had in there....

To add to the list of your list as some have already mentioned:

P. alba
Sally D
Kratom
Cacti
Kanna
Yopo tree

Why not grow some food in there too?  It will save tons of money!  Lettuce, spinach, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, etc.

Is it a winter heated greenhouse?  Very tall?  Tillandsia would be really cool, especially something like Spanish Moss which will grow into a large "beard" eventually.  They, along with other epiphytes and vines, would make good use of the vertical space while you can fill the rest of your space with whatever.  Cacti would be great - if I had a heated greenhouse I would definitely be growing a ton of cacti from seed and graft some too.

salvia and cacti are definitely the main things you should grow in there

Can't get salvia cuttings unfortunately.

It is heated, Tillandsia sounds awesome ornamental wise. My greenhouse is about 3 meters tall is that be high enough?
