i've read that that perlite is only necessary when using cakes. is perlite really necessary for casings, or would misting 3 times a day suffice?

whatever keeps your humidity right. additionally, the casing my begin to dry warranting some direct misting.

I just mist my casings twice a day and its been working just fine. Too much humidity can cause more aborts to happen and your mush may grow slower. But thats just my experience.

Good bye.

Just mist it whenever it looks dry, it doesn't need to be misted 3x a day.
