Increasing alkaloids + seed yield in Morning Glories?

Hi all,
I've read about various ways to increase the alkaloid content in Morning Glory plants by altering the pH value in the soil, but I can't find any reliable sources when it comes to which (if any) methods actually works, and if they're worth doing. Anyone have any experience with this?
Also, my plant (Heavenly Blue variety) should be flowering in three-four weeks. I'm growing it indoors since the climate here really isn't suited for them. Anyone have any tips on how to maximize the seed yield in indoor conditions? My plan so far is to go with a 12/12 light cycle and cut back on water, but I'm still uncertain if this is the best approach.
Any tips and input greatly appreciated.
Oh, and I tried searching, but the tons of threads I went trough where either about consuming seeds, or other growing issues (most of which where outdoors, naturally).

My indoor MGs flowered like crazy by a window and watered regularly. No special treatment needed.

Aww, that sucks..
I wasn't really expecting to get a bag full of seeds, but I was hoping to get enough for a dip into LSA-land and to re-seed a few at least. Oh well, at least the flower is nice to look at, and it's fun to watch it climb all over the place.

Well, from what I've gathered, the dosage varies heavily from person to person. I've heard of people getting mid-level effects from as few as 20 seeds, and others who got a seemingly low effect from as many as 400.
Personally, I was planning on a light dosage of around 40 seeds. I have never done LSA before, and I always approach new substances with extreme caution. If I like the experience, I gradually up the ante to find my sweet spot.
Anyway, would it be completely unrealistic to get around 30-50 seeds out of it? If it is, then I guess I'll just take the 40 or so seeds I have left over from the sowing, and preform an extraction to get rid of any toxins they may have put on them.

Ive had very strong results from 1/4 cup of seeds. strong stomach cramps and sweats, but somehow I did not vomit.
I could not tell up from down. The carpet grew up the walls, the hallway was like the inside of intestines, the bathroom floor was made of teeth, and I turned into a tooth-encrusted python as I crossed it. All of this occurred in a glass box inder the sea, with a portal to the apocalypse at one end, and in the middle lay me, with a center stage view of the devil and god having an arm wrestling match on my chest. above, the light flickers comming through the ocean waves were dragons swirling around in symmetrical patterns around the source of all light.

Yeah... 400+ will be very hard to get indoors. If you really want to get knocked around by some ergolines, order some HBWR seeds and just eat those.
MGs have very pretty flowers though. Might be worthwhile continuing, if only for that. Drought will throw them into flower. As will an influx of phosphorous. A fertilizer like 10-30-10 (anything with a high middle number) will probably do the trick.

Thanks for the tips. Will try fertilizing, and force them to flower by limiting their water supply when time draws near. And yeah, the flowers are definitely pretty. I'm trying to get mine to grow in a pyramid-ish shape which I expect will look cool, so it's a nice plant to keep around even if it won't make me trip.
Oh, and I definitely never expected >400 seeds, although that would kick ass. I'd do a double back flip and smack my heels together if I got 80-100. I would've grown HBWR, but I couldn't get a hold of them, and importing seeds to where I'm at can be a real pain in the ass.. I'm still hoping to come across a few eventually.

Gotcha. Growing HBWR to seeding age would be incredibly difficult indoors. It's a huge vine and starts bearing between 1.5 and 5 years of age. Beautiful plants though. And so soft!
