    #11243976 - 10/14/09 04:21 AM (8 years, 2 months ago)

So my buddy and i have been growing some c. frutescens on the deck. we finally harvested enough to make some sauce awhile back. we just squeezed the juice outta them like pulverizing them. added a lil bit of oil n sum seasonings a lil. and then we ate sum stuff with it and served it to other ppl and friends later on. it was a hit!

tabasco peppers are the coolest. They stand up instead of dangling, and they go green to yellow to safety-cone orange to blood red.

Not to mention for sauces/salsas they're great.

thats not really a tobasco sauce, your missing vinegar which is incredibly important, onions garlic flavoring. One way to do this is, to put all this in a pot cook it, with a bit of water, minced garlic/onion/tabasco peppers cook it, and cook it. then strain this and the sauce is delicious. a rough recipe.

hmm i think ill try that next time. i recently remade it with black pepper, garlic powder, a tiny bit of butter in liquid form, and sum red and green peppers, and the juices squeezed from onions, and a lil salt. it too was pretty good.

I've heard that you can use the vinegar method but substitute the red peppers with a good bit of chili powder and it works pretty well. Anyone think that would work?
