Stir Plate for LC Idea

Alright, so i found this thing in an electronics store (Fry's, it's the shit) It's meant to help a laptop circulate air. What i'm wondering is if i attach a little magnet to the blade, and another of equal weight to act as a counter weight (as to prevent violent spinning). Anybody know where i could get such a magnet, and a matching stir bar? Thanks.

I bought a corning pc-220 stir/heat plate off of ebay. still haven't used it yet for an LC. waiting on an isolate. I did make tea with it once though, it worked great.
I watched ebay a couple weeks before finally winning one at a reasonable price.

I followed the 'SIR MIX_A_LOT' tek somewhat and made one. Works great.
You can buy a stir bar at a local science store if you have one.

I bought my stir bars from Daigger
http://www.daigger.com/catalog/product?deptId=&prodId=3280A
they seemed to have reasonable pricing, a huge variety, and prompt delivery.

Nexus, if you don't mind, what's the diameter of that fan?

It's a 3 inch power supply fan from a pc. (computer not pressure cooker)

I keep an LC on it almost 24/7 and it helps air rate and break up mycelium.. Works really well when using a malt/dextrose based LC. Because it gets super thick mycelium

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately the blades are too small (about 1.3 inches long, about 1/2 inch wide) for a usual HD magnet. I want a stir plate because shaking jars is just a PITA and is not nearly as efficient as a stir plate. Also, I brew cider and i like to have some seriously aggressive yeast (brewing is like growing but 10x easier)

A real stir plate isn't very expensive, and if you look around... I picked up a two station model. It's wide enough that I can use up to 8 half pint or pint jars, or six quart jars. $40 w/ shipping. Seller said he didn't think it worked.
