Slow growth

My temps stay about 70 degrees all the time. My humidity fluctuates but can get up to the mid 90s when I am asleep at night. I have casings btw. The rest of the time I can fan it to keep a mid 80's humidity. Is it the low temperatures or high humidity at night that is causing their slow growth?

Well what do you mean by slow growth, have the pins formed and just stopped? Have they not even formed? How long has this so-called "slow growth" been happening. Come on man, help us help you.

sorry for messing with other's thread but i think that i have the same problem. i have pins that have stopped growing for 7 days! half of them are aborts! the others look like normal shrooms! should i harvest them and let the 2nd flush go?

My outdoor grow log 6 years ago...

My pan cyans grow log from 2004!!

well the reason you have slow growth is probably due to your temps being too low. Try keeping it around 76 if your trying to get your casing to fruit and closer to 80 if your just trying to get the casing layer to colonize more.

Sorry, I was in a rush this morning. Anyways, I have plenty of pins and they are still growing just slowly for a few days now. I think it is temperature afterall. I mean, 70 is like the bare minimum for casings right but it wont affect their size, just their speed of growth, correct? Also, if humidity reaches mid 90s at night or at a couple times during the day how much of an adverse affect on the mushrooms will this have? I usually fan every 4 hours which is the best I can do. 9am, 1pm, 5pm, 9pm and sometimes around 12-1am.

I have the same problem. I'm assuming that the guys out there with nice 'optimum' temps have lots of big fat shrooms?
