had to move my WHOLE cactus garden this morning.
    #11240605 - 10/13/09 06:30 PM (8 years, 5 days ago)

Goddamn typhoon going on when I woke up and I just put some torch tip cuttings in dry soil yesterday.  I pulled them out of the dirt to save them from rot and then I had to drag 15+ heavy terra cotta pots across the yard, amidst all the cats and dogs falling from the skies.

I hear ya mate, we'd get heavy downpour in FL this summer, usually right after days of drought and a nice watering because I didn't think it would rain soon :yesnod:

I had to do the same thing thanks to an early frost. Cacti season is over for me, gentlemen.

Dr :ronpaul: says to stop trying to treat the side-effects of big government and focus on the core issues. End the Federal Reserve/audit the gold reserves at Fort Knox, abolish the IRS, end all wars and occupancies, stop the building of an empire that will inevitably fail, and cut all unconstitutional federal programs. Put the power back in the peoples' hands by ending this nanny-state.

Thats about what it is here. I can still get away with bringing them inside at night and putting them out in the day.
But that gets annoying after a while when you have large cacti.

It's just time to admit that summers over.

It's a labor of love! Can't tell how many times I've dealt with situations like this... My plants are my babies!
