Hydrating spores for LC?
    #11239180 - 10/13/09 12:21 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Thoughts on wether you have to hydrate spores before making an LC or can I make the syringes and inoculate the LC right away?

doesnt seem like it would hurt to have them hydrated say 24 hours in advance just for the sake of quicker germination once on the LC. just my opinion tho. ive heard of people just scraping straight spores off a print into successful lc's.

K fuck the hydration.  Ill just make the syringes shoot the LC and cook up the grass seed while I wait for the spores to hydrate
Thank you

wat do you mean I forgot germination?  The spores will germinate in the LC and the jars will germinate in the grass seed.  I feel lost what am I missing.  Germination isn't going to happen for days.

Go for it.
I don't think scraping them right off the print into LC is ideal (too many spores) but fresh syringes are fine.

Try it on rye or WBS, too. And it loves LC!
