hey all. good finds today. any help with i.d.s / Confirmation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
1. according to mushrooms of northeast north america this mushroom is called Xerula furfuracea, i see them everywhere. anyone know them?

2. aborted entoloma? tasty eatable?



3. lycoperdum gemmatum? the species i found kind of has a brownish tint which in field guides appears much whiter.



and last but not MOST
4. BLG? - its crazy how these are so suburban!

they sure look like BLG's what were they growing from? are they bitter?

yes they were growing from a stump. right along a busy road. probably wont eat them because of the heavy traffic, what do yall think?
any objections or confirmations to the gemmata and the enteloma?

You are correct on the Aborting Entolomas and your puffball is Lycoperdon pyriforme

I see those Xerula furfuracea EVERYWHERE in the woods, i have actualy seen that kind of mushroom get really tall. Im guessing thats the same thing, does it have Solid White gills? and a solid white spore print too? with a brown skinny long stem?

the Xerula have white gills, never have taken a spore print i think a long skinny brown stem would match up. i used to think they were possible deer mushrooms.
as i understand the aborted entoloma is a host that can devour any species of mushroom? and that one should know the host species before consuming?
how do i know when they are safe to consume?
