How to find new music 101

Lots of people are probably clueless as to how to find heaps of great music on the internet, so I'm going to list some of the methods I use, and hopefully there will be some new ideas that get posted.
1) www.last.fm - find an artist that I like, then browse the 'similar artists' page and listen to the demos.
2) www.beatport.com - at first i was intimidated by beatport because of the mass amounts of new music being uploaded to the site daily, but i came up with a method that works well. choose a genre, click 'view all', and view by single tracks (not releases), then sort by date, and 100 results per page. basically, i just listen to all the samples of each track and record my progress in wordpad. i note what track i started at originally, then when done searching for music on beatport i note which track i ended at. the next time want to search again i go back to where i finished off last, or maybe download some of the newer tracks uploaded first and make note of that as well. it's important to make notes, because for example, 'electro house' has almost 50,000 tracks. so you want to record the tracks you have listened to and those you haven't, and search by date and always make note so you never get lost.
www.addictech.com is another good site like beatport
3) forums - search yahoo by inputting something like - forum "favorite psytrance" (apostrophes included so it searches for full phrase). then search through various threads. to take it further, i will register at a music forum and search the forum itself for phrases such as 'favorite', "top 10" or "top 100" etc.
4) music blogs - search for music blogs in google, enter search phrase like this - blog rapidshare "album name here", or - blog megaupload "album name here" (apostrophes included). then bookmark all the blogs found.
5) search for sets mixes - search yahoo - mix "live set" rapidshare "artist name", or - rapidshare blog "live set" "artist here" etc etc.
6) listen to online radio and make note of whatever is good
and of course, whatever music you find that you like, buy the track/album to support the artist
those are my main methods. anything else I'm missing?

You missed the best one.
pandora.com Since we started back in 2000, we have been hard at work on the Music Genome Project. It's the most comprehensive analysis of music ever undertaken. Together our team of fifty musician-analysts has been listening to music, one song at a time, studying and collecting literally hundreds of musical details on every song. It takes 20-30 minutes per song to capture all of the little details that give each recording its magical sound - melody, harmony, instrumentation, rhythm, vocals, lyrics ... and more - close to 400 attributes! We continue this work every day to keep up with the incredible flow of great new music coming from studios, stadiums and garages around the country.
edit: Also grooveshark if you want to hear any song on command.

I'm not in US

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.
