I can see why you would say that, on the one hand.
But on the other, this film definitely didn't lack explication did it? It was the most explicit film I've seen.
I understand you are probing what is under that, if anything, but for the film's part (itself) these are undoubtedly sharp tools.

Likely most of it went right over my low class head. I'm not much on rooting out obscure symbolism. I leave that to my buddy Lakefingers. He's got the brains and I've got the brawn.

That fucking movie went mostly right over my head.
I got the general death anxiety bit but the details are beyond me.

Well, my brother caught on to this movie from one of his college buddies, and I think we're going to end up watching it again pretty soon. So I'll probably report back on the fucking thing.
