Can someone ID these please
    #11235246 - 10/12/09 07:28 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Just found these on some rotting wood, Spore print orange colour, no bruising. can anyone identify them for me please?
Does anyone think these may be toxic?

Not sure what they are, it would help if you took a spore print and told us what color it is.

They do appear to be Gymnopilus, maybe close to the luteofolius/aeruginosus group due to the reddish caps.  Check for green staining and a bitter taste.

Well, are they staining green?  Some say cold temps makes them stain faster.

Look over them carefully for any areas that seem to have turned green, especially on the top of the cap or the bottom of the stem.

No green staining yet and ive had all but one of them infront of a cool fan since i posted pics. The stems are however turning very dark brown i assume this is cause there drying?
Its just started dropping spores which are a yellow-orange colour.
