Starting to ride again. Essentially handmade a new road bike last week. Cut an old junk frame to pieces and started all over again.

hustling up some money for a fancy new ride, I'm aiming for carbon nigga!

It all depends really. If you want a fully geared bike your gonna spend more for a decent Gruppo and shit. I mostly ride Track bikes: ie fixed gear. :ie none of those fancy gears and shit.

You can find tons of pretty decent old steel roadies on CL for decent prices,although the ATL CL Prices are fucking ridiculous unless you watch it like a hawk.

There used to a couple Bike recycle shops in atl,where you can pretty much show up,build a decent bike from donated parts with their tools,get help from others if you need it. It's just good nature to donate some money,parts,labor back to the place.

You should be able to be on a nice old steel bike for no more than 200-300 bucks bare max.

I've scored nice old Lugged frame bikes from goodwill for dollars and dumpsters for free,but i have tons of old junk to get them rolling,and welders to get them to fit,hah.

no reason to say "some day". I first road bike i ever got was a spur of the moment thrift store buy. I hadn't slept for days,and i had been wanting one, walked into said store,and bam! 10 bucks,lots of gear lube,and a little tinkering in and i was riding my ass off lik 3 hours later.

10 bucks,homie.

Just gotta look around.

Lots of Great riding around too. Check out the Silver Comet. It's some of the most beautiful riding ever I've ever done. Great way to spend the weekend. Build up your endurance,do the entire route to bama in one day,stop for lunch on the route,and camp out in bama. Wake early,and do the same thing back.

Went to a Wilco concert then an EOTO gig after that.
Wilco was pretty fucking good. EOTO was alright. Sound at the place sucked. Second set kinda heated up though.

I just finished preparing for my first exam of the term tomorrow morning (chemical thermodynamics :rockon:

) and I'm feeling pretty good. We get to have one page of handwritten notes, and I ended up fitting all the material from the course so far onto my page ( :shocked:

) so I think I should be in good shape. Thermodynamics is not all that tough if you're very careful about your notation and +/- signs.
