Bumping this thread and asking a question::

Is 1.5 to 2hrs long enough at 140-150f?

Alot of the stuff I've been reading about commercial mushroom farms steam pasteurizing is at 6-8hrs at 140-150f.

P.S. I'm talking about pasteurizing straw (not compost) and the straw is soaked for 24hrs before steam pasteruization.

The Mushroom Cultivator regarding steam pasteurization of straw:
"Presoaked to about 75% water, the straw is filled into a tunnel or steam room./It is steamed for 2-4 hours at 140-150F., then cooled to 80F. and spawned. An alternative program calls for 12-24 hours at 122F. after the high temperature pasteurization."
