The Mycelium is discolored because of spores. Except for these strange white balls, it's a healthy looking cake. I've noticed the beginning of these balls on one other cake besides the one photographed. They're in two different fruiting chambers, so I know they couldn't have cross contaminated. Is this from too much moisture, and can I still EAT the shrooms? This cake's got the beginning of some big 'uns.
