Atmospheric pressure varies according to the height above sea level. Under ideal conditions the rate at which the pressure changes with respect to the height is proportional to the pressure.
a) letting P(s) denote the atmospheric pressure at height s, write a differential equation that models the atmospheric pressure.
b) if the pressure is 100 at sea level and 87 at the height of 3000 meters, what will it be at 3500 meters?

So I'm guessing a) is gonna be: P(s) = ds/da right? "a" being atmospheric pressure

(If I'm understanding this right) you know rate at which the pressure (P) changes with respect to the height (s) is proportional to the pressure, that is: d[P(s)]/ds = k*P (where k is some constant).

You can find the function for pressure integrating k*P with respect to h.

So P(s) = (k*P*s)+n (n being the additive constant).

Then for B just plug in the numbers it gives to find the constants, and calculate the pressure at 3500 m based on that.
