Found in suburb of Vancouver, BC identification request

Habitat:
Found in backyard bordering forest. Was growing in moist lawn. (Tri-cities, BC).

Gills:
The inside of the gills were black, see pictures for much more detail.

Stem:
3-7cm, thick as a pen, white/brown (see pictures for more detail).

Cap:
Varies from size of an ear plug to a large grape., light-dark brown, nippled on top.

Other information:
I found these growing in my backyard, no previous picking experience, so I took 8 pictures to try & help with the ID as much as possible. Thanks in advance!

i believe that to be some species of coprinus, (inky cap) correct me if im wrong.
