I'm H1N1 Positive
    #11233107 - 10/12/09 03:09 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

This is some hype, i feel like a have a minor case of the flu.  Fever, anorexia, head ache, cough and a little nauseous too.  It is part of my schools policy that i don't go to class if i am knowingly positive.  But i really could go about my daily routine.  Some advil, constant cannabis use and sleep should have me feeling better.

:peace:

haha, so you don't actually know tho...

I've got a fever of 100.6, sore throat, head ache, achy all over, and chills.  I'm still going to class anyways, or at least one of them because I have a math test wednesday and a review for it today...

correct me if I'm wrong but anorexia technically isn't a temporary symptom of a sickness, that's an actual disease...

I am using it here to state that i have no hunger.  Not that i have an eating disorder.  Doctors use this term to describe the feeling of not being hungry to eat, or not eating.

I've always heard loss of appetite used, anorexia suggests a psychological condition

Nope, where do you think Anorexia Nervosa came from?

Dude...

The disease is called Anorexia Nervosa.

The word "Anorexia" is a description of not eating.  This is why the disease is called Anorexia Nervosa....

and no source... dude...

diseases can cause anorexia, it's there in the page along with a
dozen other 'causes', Anorexia Nervosa is a psychological condition,
it's not a disease

Yes.  This too,

absence of the desire to eat, induced by psychological drugs or by social, environmental, or other factors.

Cog_Shift is correct...

"Anorexia" Nervosa is simply the most popular usage of the word.

Doctors probably use "loss of appetite" so people don't get confused and think they have the mental condition!

doctors also tend use a few other choice words like  aphagia or anophagia

http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=6606
Aphagia: Inability to eat. From the Greek prefix "a-" meaning "not" + "phago" meaning "to eat" + not to eat.

More people die from the regular influenza each year than swine flu.

Rest up, make some hot honey tea, smoke a bowl, and enjoy your time off.

loss of appetite can last for weeks or even months, how ever to be classified with anorexia your body fat actually has to be under a certain percentage.

FACT.

bottom line, you ARE a hypochondriac.

Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder that involves limiting the amount of food a person eats. It results in starvation and an inability to stay at the minimum body weight considered healthy for the person's age and height.
