I know these pictures suck but not much I can do without busting open the bag. The other side of the bag has started pinning and I have moved the bag a round a bit picking it up to check on progress so I am hoping this is bruising of a pin or something. It has looked the same for 2 days so it isn't something that is spreading rapidly. Give any advice you can given the poor photos. These are at 7 weeks from a MS and incubated at a low room temp 70-72ish.
That looks like several little spots/patches, not 1 like I was expecting from the text. I would be far less concerned with those spots then why it took 7 weeks for the bag to start fruiting. What size bag is it? Did you not mix it up at 30% colonization?
Regardless of the spots, I would definitely poke some holes or slits in the upper part of that bag for FAE.
I am pretty sure it took my bags so long (I had this one and then 2 spawn bags) because my room temps were so low. We keep our place pretty ice cold, 67ish at night and 71ish during the day. All 3 bags were slow but steady colonizers so I just let it do its thing. This one is a 1 lb bag from themadseason and I did mix at 30%. It took 3 weeks to get to 30% tho which I attributed to the low temps and the MS.
