help needed with an identification

Habitat: grassy pasture. no animals.

Gills: free gills, light brown in colour.

Stem: whitish, 2cm width.

Cap: cream to slight orange. roughly 8cm in diameter.

Spore print color: doing one currently.

Bruising: no obvious colour change.

Location: Picked in Victoria, Australia.

Agrocybe, maybe A. pediades (looks a bit big for that) or A. praecox (looks a bit small for that) or more likely some crazy down under Agrocybe species.

One interesting thing about Agrocybe is that they have the same cucumber odor that psilocybin mushrooms do!

Unfortunately that is just about the only interesting thing about Agrocybe.

We've been getting a few of these the last couple of days. Looks like the A. praecox pic I have in my field guide.

Sure does but I consider A. praecox more of a wood chip species, I don't think it grows in the grass too.

updates:

the spore print come out brown. still no colouration in bruising.

but looks like you guys are pretty confident in your identification anyway, no luck for me! :frown:
