mine might be contamed... waiting it out.. PC'd the little shit for 3 hrs.. so I dont see where it might have got contamed, but half the myc is turning smooth and yellow..?  It's also PE, which I have never dealt with, so maybe its all good. It's in fruiting conditions as of last night.

I only read a few posts and looked at all the pictures... why couldnt someone just soak a teddy bear in agar mix... wouldnt that fruit like mad? You could grow on anything that would hold the agar... which would be anything....

thats what I did to this one:



Colonized the wbs in his back, but them got black mold on the remaining poly fur, that was agar treated but not colonized, in the FC.

Yeah.. too late.. he is land fill material now. I started a new one, but he is looking funny too. The new one isn't poly, it's 100% wool. Not sure what that means in the end.

I can post pics for proof.. but yeah I am.. My little guy has contams.. black mold on one side, and what looks like cobweb.. at the same time, his stuffing is fully colonized and has the good mush smell. It is also forming knots.. but isn't creating pins yet. The rhizo is also in the middle of taking over the black mold. The area of cobweb has turned yellow and stopped growing.. That area remains untouched by the myc. I think it is having a battle for territory right now, but the myc has the bigger gang.

but the black mold thats another story

I will post pics.. I usually would have done some drastic measures by now.. but this is 100% wool. So, I can't pretend to know whats up.. the thing is, the black mold popped up immediately, then stopped spreading, dried out, and now the myc is growing over it. So, my plan.. play it out.  Pics shortly.. charging cam battery.
