Innoculated 24 hours ago... Tiny green specks

I did everything according to PF and have 10 jars of substrate I innoculated 24 hours ago. In half of them are tiny specks of green... Each jar only has 1 speck. They're all at spots on the jar where the needle went in. I've never done this before but know everything should be white... No green. Is this just a first sign or am I doomed?

Not really sure, give it time. Wait a week, and if you dont see any white, but all green, your FUBAR'd.

It might be your eyes playing tricks on you, since im assuming your using the standard PF Tek with vermiculite / brown rice flour (same method The Man uses).

It's a bit to soon to tell. It sounds like you may be facing a contam problem though. How did you sterilize your syringe?

24 hours is way too soon to start fretting. Put your jars back in the incubator and leave them alone for a week. No peeking!

That soon? I don't believe it would be contamination. I always see purple chuncks of spores. Is this what your seeing?
