yeah... that's probably true.

i guess if you're gonna be mashing and agitating it 1-3 minutes would be good enough. you want the goodies to dissolve in the solvent.

i guess it depends on how well you agitate it.

i did 25 seconds when i made it.  that was pretty good.  ive read u on a bunch of different iso hash threads on here and icmag and it most people seem to agree 30 seconds or so is good.  and do a few pulls.

yeah, i agree and don't at the same time. that might be better if you ground the weed up first. because at first, the weed slowly absorbs the solvent, and isn't much like a sponge. i guess the question is- what's more effective? 2 pulls at 1 minute or a few at 30 seconds.

in the end i use my intuition and no 2 situations are exactly alike. so i would tailor the method to the situation and variables.

let the epic smoke sesh commence

me and 2 other people smoked through a QP in 2 days once just rolling blunts. picking out all those seeds takes foreverrrrrrr though

Extract with iso alcohol.

Reflux with concentrate sulfuric acid.

Evaporate leaving potent oil.

This is called ismoerisation - it turns all the lower cannabinoids into THC.

I can reflux a solution- do I add the acid? Or does it pass through, like using calcium chloride to dry?

Hm... wonder if any acid would work? I've got lemon juice and citric acid on hand right now.
But no matter what, you still have to do a non-polar extraction, which adds a step I don't want to bother with.

But as I'm researching the isomerization, I found "decarboxylization"... apparently I want to heat the weed > 106C.
Which happens with simmering it in butter, but not when extracting using either alc or acetone.

So do y'all bake your weed first? Or not? Is decarboxylization just BS?

"Gumby" Bubble Hash, can be done using buckets of water and ice. Purity depends on the size of your sieves, its likely not as pure as extracting the thc and cannabanoids using a solvent but its still a nice product. Or a mix of the both, to maximise yields.
