lay emm on square fan on low for 2 days.... then put emm in a box elevated with some damp-rid under it....thats the easiest way to do it right...i have seen people just lay em on the fan until ther dry but it takes alittle longer....do a search thers alot of info on this...

The easiest way to dry shrooms by far has to be either oven or Dehydrator drying.
1.Oven
Lay out a long peice of tin foil on the top rack of your oven. Put the
oven on 90-110 degrees let them sit for a few hours with the oven
door SLIGHTLY CRACKED. Check on them every half hour to see if any of
them are cracker dry. Some say oven drying destroys potency. It can
if you have your oven on High temperatures. Also alot of people who
claim their potency was destroyed from the heat grew from MS and could
have had bad genetics wich resulted in bunk shrooms. I have been oven
drying for years and I have even compared oven drying an isoled strain
v.s fan drying. The potency in the oven dried shrooms where
uneffected.
2.Dehydrator
I find them unecesary but you could by a dehydrator and put your
shrooms in their for a couple of hours and they will be all dry.

Well, I'm not here every day, but the discussion seems to be.
Conclusion: dehydrator temps won't hurt anything. Turn it down or off if you like, but it doesn't matter.

We weren't talkin temps. But the one thing that heat DOES do is speed up dehydration. So I was just saying that many of these people who use Nesco or Ronco dehydrators with the heat turned off are barely getting any benefit from those machines. Putting shrooms on a screen in open air (even with no fan on) will dry them out almost as fast a dehydrator.
(unless you live somewhere very humid as mentioned)

You specified using it with the heat off. Of course that's not the fastest way. But it's ok to use heat, which changes teh situation.
Is it faster to walk, or drive in a car with the engine off?

100% Correct.
The easiest way to dry mushrooms is to make your girlfriend pick them and then put them in a dehydrator, I do not think that anyone can dispute that.

How do you turn the heat all the way off. Mine only goes down to 95 degrees at the lowest. I usually set mine at 110 degrees and let em go. crackers in a day.

I dry mine at 95 all the time no potency loss that I can tell I think the only way to turn off heat is to manually disconnect the heater ... not worth it and prob voids the warranty, 95 is a good temp for drying

no one is talking about heat/potency.
the question of the thread was "easiest way to dry shrooms?"
I still maintain that the easiest way is to let them sit on a shelf in open air. They won't rot, they won't mold, they will DRY. And almost as quickly as in a dehydrator turned down to 95F.

that all depends on the local RH of where you live or the RH in your house. I know here at around 50 RH out in the open they dry slower and never fully cracker dry. a dehydrator hands down is the best devise for drying, its fast,self contained,and using minimal heat to dry it good and quick.
