Not very many Mushroom:(

Well this is about the end of my first attempt at growing. I am pleased that I even have some measure of success, but I see a much better results from other grows.
My question is why didn't my whole cake get covered in shrooms? What are the factors that I need to adjust to increase yield?

this is not that bad, and Multispore inoculation are random anyway. if you want consistant result try looking foward for cloning and isolation.

That thing is entirely much too dry. Case the next one maybe? I'm not a caser myself, but it might be an appropriate technique given your style.
The mushrooms grow where conditions are right. You are getting side shrooms but not top shrooms- the sides and edges of your tub are providing a better and more suitable environment for the production of mushrooms.

I agree with casing next time, for my personal environmet my cubes benfit from a casing layer they may also for yours. Dunk the block after your flush and youll be fine. good job tho you got 2-4 trips right there.

I will try casing next time. Could it be lack of FAE, because they seem to be developing at the far ends, that are closers to the holes. Maybe I should add some holes to the side walls???

Yes. More FAE is better- but then you need more humidity. That block is already too dry. Like others said, though- good job for a first run!

Your FC isn't going to work very well. You have a tub with polyfil, but no source of internal humidity. In a monotub, the substrate generates humidity for itself. But your little tubs can't do that inside your giant FC.
You would be better off if you made that into a standard shotgun- with four inches of perlite. Even then you may want a humidifier in your room, if it's that dry.

Ya this was supposed to be a mono tub, but I didn't realize that you are supposed to let the substrate colonize in the tub. I put it in these damn pans for some reason... just a noob I guess. Anyway I ended up combining teks because I needed more humidity and this is what I got.
I should just try and do the mono tek again, but actually do it right.

You have a humidity problem, plain and simple. You are getting all that side pinning because that is where humidity is best. Just lay some damp perlite at the bottom of that FC, it will boost your humidity tremendously.
