What about pleading into deferred prosecution or something similar to "drug court"?
Got a link?I bet the fucking mandatory sentence for violent sexual offenses is less than that of the particular law you are speaking of.

Minimums are minimums. Rockefeller era type shit.
They may grant you some kind of pre-trial intervention. If you pleaded not guilty, asked for a jury trial, and had balls to hold out you could get the charge reduced most likely.
If you plead guilty, or if youre found guilty. Its a Mand. Min. for you.

I was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.That carries a MINIMUM of a year and a day in jail.
Did I do a bit of that jail time?No,I plead guilty and then entered deferred prosecution. There isn't even a felony on my record.
It is all up to the judge,prosecutor and sometimes the arresting officer can suggest a sentence.

I didnt know 6 lortab/vicodin 10's contain 4,000 milligrams of hydrocodone.

Thats statutory law and is only for their citizens ie; slaves. And it a violation they call a felony only for their employees such as residents and citizens. I dont think a tourist or some one who knows how to answer questions and what to say would have a problem. It would not even came to a search. They found it cuz they searched him cuz hes one of their slaves and they could. If he knew what to say they could never had the jurisdiction to search him.
