Should I ditch the pmp?

So I will be birthing in a week or so, which gives me a little time to get everything in order.
At the moment I have a pmp setup for my chamber. I've been really worried due to having huge lava rock and such. I've also been reading about how it dosnt work as well as a shotgun and there is more chance for contams.
So my question is should I use a shotgun or should I stick with the pmp?
A few useful facts are welcome aswell other than, " I use it, huge shrooms"

PMP and shotgun both work.. there are a ton of teks for both .. use the search function and you will find lots o stuff..
if you feel your PMP is good (based on a tek) then use it

In my opinion, that's true. PMP works, but shotty is better.

See I could also build a legit shotty as compared to a half ass pmp. I think shotty it is but maybe grow a test cake in the pmp. I mean 2 chambers ain't a bad thing

Two is good, but not if you have to half-ass it. That's not a fair test. Of course if one's built correctly and one isn't there's going to be a difference.

i use pmp, huge shrooms. lol.
both definitely work, if you use a pmp just mix h2o2 with the water and it keeps them going for a good while without much worry of contams.
and in my opinion the pmp is a little more clean and neat, and maintenance free (on such a regular basis at least).
but the shotgun is pretty much just as efficient if done right, and definitely cheaper and easier

2nd that. i have answered alot of different questions with the same response.
"give them optimal conditions" method of delivery is pretty much trivial, its all about the proper care.

Well I shouldn't have said half assed. I just mean I don't feel it's complete without geolite, and my lava rock is huge. So the cakes will nit sit evenly unless I get a mesh or some type of fencing material and I feel the would mess with the humidity...
I'm just going to run my pmp with one cake and build a shotgun aswell see how the pmp does and then maybe just bang bang banging out shrooms!
Btw, this is all my first grow and most jars are around 40 to 50 percent done :3

I love my modified PMP keeps constant fresh Air and 100% RH zero contams huge pin sets.
But really anything that holds 100% RH and you give it lots of FAE will work I like my PMP because I can leave and go camping for 2-4 days and not have to worry about it

I like the pmp with perlite and cakes sitting on foil.
I am sure that the shotgun can work just as good.
I have just used a blue plastic tote with perlite and just fanned it a few times a day and got some huge shrooms.
I would go with the wire mesh if you are using lava rocks or at least something to sit my cakes level in the chamber.
A half assed attempt will usually not get you far in this hobby.

Optimal conditions produce optimal results every time.
I guess it is all about getting there.

My PMP works fine.
All an FC does is provide humidity & fresh air. People like what works for them. My PMP is 100% automatic. At one point i could only visit the buddies once a week, i would come back for a nice harvest every time.

Well I bought a huge rubbermaid for my shotgun fruiting chamber, and also perlite. So I gotta find somewhere to put it now lol.
Btw, how far apart do the holes need to be? And what size?

pmp is solid, just make sure your airstone/bubble wand doesn't get clogged up or you'll be fucked
