New Music visualization from me - Morphyre

Hi folks,
Not been here for a while. Anyway for those that don't know me or my work, I write music visualization software I did some stuff including the Shroomery's own preset for MilkDrop. As well as other visualizations like R4.
Anyway finally after a few years we have a new one out now. So if you fancy watching something to go with your music when you are chilling or otherwise.
Now it is available for PC on Winamp, Windows Media Player and iTunes. And for Mac on iTunes.
Sadly at the moment there is not many mushrooms in the scenes but I hope to change that in near future as I am (slowly) getting someone to make me some shroom models. If there are any 3D artists out there that can make shroom models, let me know.
It is called Morphyre and all the details can be found here:
http://www.morphyre.com
Here are a few pics.
Let me know what you think. Enjoy.
Cheers,
John
(I am not sure this is the right section to post this. But seems as good as any.)

Can the critics still deny that the geometry of matter is directly related to the harmonic interweaving of light itself? There is no substance, in the absolute sense. We live in a reality of un-reality; all is an illusion and the stuff that dreams are made of. Our physical world is nothing more than a resonating ball of light and shade." The preset for the Shroomery should be included with Winamp
If not goto http://www.milkdrop.co.uk --> downloads and "All regulars presets from July to September 2003"
And in MilkDrop find it under Rovastar - The Shroomery
(This info was removed from the FAQ added it again http://www.shroomery.org/9083/What-are-some-good-trip-toys )
There had been a lot of new presets recently in the install maybe it got removed by mistake if so I'll get it reinstated.......
Glad you are enjoying our new one, Morphyre, folks. And hopefully some shroom scenes coming soon to it.

Hi mate,
I am good thanks. Yeah still slowly plugging away with the visuals - for this we we were trying to get as much variety as possible and getting it out there on the Mac platform (something we hadn't done before). Glad you are enjoying it.
I should really pop by this place more often. I'll try and make an effort.

That is not good.
Do you know what graphics card you are using? and if you have the latest drivers?
It is possible that it will not run but I didn't expect it to crash the player.
Hopefully I'll be able to get to the bottom of it.

works great on winamp with an 8800gt graphics card. i just had to drag my friend in here to check it out
is there full screen support in the paid version?
actually somethin weird is happening. when i start a song with the visualizer enabled, i it won't stop until i manually disable the plugin. it kept going even after i pressed stop on the music and even after i exited winamp and then restarted it...

It's a standard laptop vid card but w/ a graphics accelerator. R4 works, which seems to be a heavier visualizer. But I use up to 384mb

What... no Linux version? Have you ever considered developing a version for Linux distros? Looks cool but I'd have to run my self through the wringer to get it to work in Ubunutu... I'm just not that technically gifted! LOL

Currently no full screen yet sorry. Plans for it though.
Did it not run in the visualization window in Winamp? The visualization will be 'active' when the music has stopped but responding to no sound so an auto-pilot mode.

Ummh there are some newer 'extensions' it uses for the shaders. But I hoped many would run. I will need to know the model of the graphics card (I presume some Intel on-board graphics card.) If you goto Control Panel --> Display --> Setting it should tell you what it is and I can see if it is supported or not.

Linux version is in the pipeline. It actually works on Linux just have to fine tune it and get the distro sorted. We were seeing if there was demand for it first really and there appear to be a bit. Linux does a smaller marketplace than windows and then mac so we understandably got these working first.
Thanks for all the feedback folks. It is the only way we can make improvements.

Very cool. It works full screen on my macbook pro. I wouldn't mind seeing this in one of the themes or whatever there called,
