I am thinking of making some chocolates with Raw Cacao mixed with some Dark Chocolate to sweeten it up. How much of an MAOI is Raw Cacao and does it really potentate a trip??

Used lemon juice, but it didn't exactly potentiate the trip, it rather altered how it was absorbed (faster, stronger, shorter lasting)

Not cocoa powder.....
I dont have an answer to your question.....
But a few comments.
WHY would you need to sweeten it?!?! The stuff is delicious! It doesnt absorb all the moisture in your mouth like powder does, just a strong bitter flavor.
Most I have eaten is about 6 tblspoons..... Definatly chilled me out..... but not in a "high" sort of way.
I am a chocolate addict, Recently found a 95% dark chocolate made by Lindt( not my fav brand ) 
If you want a good tasting chocolate bar, see if you can find Hageland , they have a series of dark chocolate from different parts of the world, very distinct, well crafted.
Lindt is the highest % I have found...... but I dont like however they flavor it...... it is like, a dry bitter........ with sweet trying to mask it.......
The Hageland I tried was 80% uganda, it was an EXCELLENT balance, you got the -BITTER- of the cocoa, but it wasnt dry like I find Lindt to be.
ghiradelli 72% twilight delight is my choice as far as high% + flavor + value goes. BUT, it is almost not bitter enough for my palate.
Argh..... dun get me started on chocolate....... 
Oh, and skip the high priced ones with the pictures of animals on them in the "organic" section..... cool packaging.... and sure they donate money to whatever fund...... BUT, boring chocolate..... the only reason I even believe it was 70% is because it said so on the package.

I did say Cacao in my title, also It is very bitter stuff, maybe the stuff you have is sweeten but this stuff def is not but I suppose some people will like it while other wont

I personally like the taste myself, but the flavour that comes just before you swallow, and after, is extremly bitter for me as well. Still edible, but not very palatable, and that was about 1 tablespoon, idono about 6 @.@

YAhhhhhh, Good stuff.
I like the taste, I enjoy a lot of bitter flavors.
I guess it kinda grows on ya.... I started with bakers chocolate......... 
Now, I would like to get some whole cacao pods so I could roast them myself. 
I really have no idea what sort of an maoi they are.... I have heard it before..... but that is it.
Couldnt hurt to try it.

I love cacao nibs personally.
I wouldn't really expect the cacao to potentiate the mushrooms much, but if it did I don't think it would be through MAOI activity (of which chocolate's is very low)

Yeah,where did you get the maoi stuff from?I had 25x cacao extract,it's very nice,kinda' like opiate coffee if that makes any sense.But i wouldn't mix it with a psychedelics just becuase of the stimulant effects...to each his own.

Chocolate does have a much lower MAOI action then Raw Cocao.

i dont think it really makes the trip any stronger but it makes it taste better and you kinda get get high off the choclate. what you do is take raw cacao, raw pure honey, and powder mushrooms and mix them toegther til you get the consistency you want more cacao the stiffer more honey softer. it taste soooo good and if you eat enough of that kinda raw chocolate you get a chocolate high. my hippie chick friend taught me of it so i added mushrooms to the mix deffinatly 5 statrs for it.

I eat the chocolate an hour in advance before mushroom ingestion, around 2 tablespoons or +, (you can add honey if you like) and from personal experience, it affects the trip dramatically.
