I heard recently that over 60% of Americans are overweight. One in four in Alabama is obese. And this fat and unhealthy trend is starting to happen all over the world where it's affordable
What I'm wondering is how a transformation of mind and spirit is going to happen in 2012 when so much of the western world is physically sick. There's plenty of evidence that physical health effects mental functioning and health.
well, I just don't see 2012 bringing anything "good". Unless of course it's the breakdown of modern society. But I hardly ever get my preferences.

Simple most of Western civilization won't be ready. I believe it is because people have become increasingly materialistic. When we start tuning back with nature, we will become healthier again. Maybe 2012 will be an introspection of humanity collectively. Like a great awakening we become better stuarts of our lives, and the earth.

I think some kind of disaster; like a nuclear war, or meteorite, will wipe out humanity. Scientifically speeking, this is much more likely than aliens. I bet you anything December 21, 2012 will be just like January 1, 2000. People, in general, are delusional. The big transformation is figuring this out. People are not going to change. Unless something big happens. No I don't believe in a scapegoat if thats what your insinuating. Science explains everything. Religion is slavery on all levels. It really doesn't accomplish anything but ignorance.
