This may seem like a silly question, but I haven't found any answers using the search. I know Myc can take a long time to fully colonize a jar. What my question is is this: Will a contam be present far before any sign of Myc? I am a new grower and have many questions rattling around in my head. I knocked my jars up about 4 days ago and no sign of anything yet. I am going to Chicago for the weekend. I hope I have healthy jars when I get back!!!

Inadequacies freeze when the trap snaps the vermin. Slapdash check marks riddle the page. I guess that sets our wills to be made. To anyone who has wanted to lay bricks around their frames, follow us and do the same."
If the contam is in the inoculate odds are very good it will show up in 2-4 days in my experience. Mold especially green mold will show up in 24-48 hours after inoculation. I can't speak for all contams but thats my experience.
Sounds about right. My experience has been the contams usually show up quickly. But not always. most of the common contams will certainly be noticeable before the mushroom growth takes control of the jar. USUALLY.
