Multi-layer Scanner Composition (digital stacking with paper drawings)
    #11218076 - 10/10/09 12:08 AM (8 years, 9 months ago)

Threw this together earlier tonight.
I've never really made anything like this before, so I thought I'd ask you guys for feedback.
Thoughts?

It's a good start for an idea. I could see it getting way crazier though.

More lines, more coverage, and more overlapping. I think overlap is key in stuff like this. Things shouldn't be whole, they should be broken up. It makes you use your imagination more.

can you tell that the background is a bee?
it's obvious to me 'cause i drew it but i'm still scratching my head trying to figure out what everyone else sees.

This is cool.

I couldn't tell the background was a bee, though. The 2nd & third "panels" (where the bee drawing is prominent - top right, bottom left) looked like two semi-abstract drawings of a human figure (the light brown), to me. The 2nd panel looks like a human head (ok, an oval), with the big eye looking at it from behind. Third panel, I couldn't really tell. I see the bee now that you've mentioned it.

I enjoyed the little face palm, haha.

PS: "goddammit" seems to be the theme, how come?

lol, I keep a little notebook and write thoughts in it from time to time. In this instance, I was pretty stoned, so I tried to write out a thought twice and both times failed/aborted the attempt. Hence the facepalm and "goddammitfish."

No I thought it was an abstract form, no bee. I think if it wasn't broken by just two squares it could be more noticeable.
