Hmm, I never enjoyed his autobiography. I got through the first hundred pages but could never push myself to finish it.
What I highly recommend is "The Portable Jung" edited by his student (and eminent scholar in his own right) Joseph Campbell. It's a collection of essays with a wide variety of topics. It contains some of my favorite essays. Whatever you choose, good luck.

He's mostly only interesting if you're a hardcore psychologist. He edited one book for the public only to try and make his stuff more mainstream-accessible, I can't remember its name.
When I've tried to read Aion I've found when it gets into the structure and dynamics of the self stuff, it's complete jibberish to me. Maybe not so for professors of psychology though.

That's why I recommend his autobiography. He presents his ideas and experiences in lay terms.

I liked his definitions of extraversion and introversion quite a bit... it's certainly not for everyone, but if you can get interested, it bears a lot of fruit.

I know the title of that book in french is "Psychologie de l'inconscient", maybe "Psychology of the unconsciouness" or something like that...?
I wasvery enthusiastic with Jung a few years ago, then I started to consider that psychanalysis was a bit vague in comparison to psychology, then I started seeing criticism of psychology as a pseudo-science, and now I'm a little skeptic about all that stuff, even though it's pretty interesting.

I mean the label of "psuedoscience" can be leveled at any study of the human condition because we are dynamic. Just because we cannot be described by mathematical approximations doesn't mean a science about us cannot be adequately described, and surely the methods and language cannot be those of mathematics. I said "pseudo science" as "as-science-that-is-not-exactly-an-exact-science", like sociology.
However, the major turnoff was seeing the weakness of many thoughts and theories, especially since psychology has drawn a major interest and appears in trivial interpretations in mainstream media. An original theory gets mixed up with what people understand of it, what is read in magazines or books (which make the human mind look so simple a 10 year old could understand most of it), and the lack of rigorous criticism.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still interested in it, but I'll try to build a specific knowledge so I can get informations directly from the source. I'm still worried though when I hear people who went through psychology studies and call bullshit. It is a young science after all.

Man and His Symbols in hardcover, which is well illustrated, is a great introduction to Jung's work.

This cracks me up. "Jibberish" is a word derived from an ancient alchemist, Jabir. Geber is the Latinized form of 'Jabir', with the full name of Abu Musa Jâbir ibn Hayyân al azdi. His works are meaningful to those who have gone into alchemy, as Jung did. Today, the word "jibberish" is used by people who do not understand abstruse knowledge, and it means 'Jabir-like,' which is to say, not understandable.
