Trich under my sink
    #11215847 - 10/09/09 04:27 PM (8 years, 11 days ago)

I figured this forum would be the best place to ask :igor:

So after switching out faucets and neglecting to dry the area under my kitchen sink, I've got a nasty trich infestation in the cabinet's "floor". I need to clean and kill this stuff this weekend. My plan so far is to sand down a layer of the wood, soak it with bleach, and lysol the air in there a few times a day.

The only kicker is, my girl is hyper-sensitive to chemical cleaning products, she usually makes her own from essential oils, vinegar, etc. Luckily, she is out of town this weekend so I can chemiclean the hell out of it as long as the fumes are gone by Monday.

I also promised her I'd look into some sort of organic/hippie friendly method of taking care of this. Anyone got any ideas? Any flaws or better ideas if I go the chemical route? I'd provide pics, but she took the camera to Dakota with her...

So hopefully the process I have in mind will take care of it. Don't really want to replace that cabinet, not as easy as throwing out a jar.
