So, I was re-reading Neitzche's "ubermensch" writings and was wondering if he ever collected data on the egos and superegos of women and how they differentiated from those of men? I believe there would be significant differences and the pursuit of that knowledge would be of great interest, not only to me but to anyone interested in the study of the mind.

I think if you actually do a search you will come across a few studies on your interest. Then get back to us so we can tear your biased conclusions apart.

They didn't do anything to me. But it's plain to see from several other threads that this person has a vendetta.

Which are Nietzsche's ?ermensch writings?
After he left the university he did no empirical studies (no data collection). The superego/ego/id bit was developed by Freud (who was inspired by Nietzsche proto-psychoanalytical insights pertaining to hidden motives [subconscious] and conscience [superego].)

Otherwise a lot has been written on this by other thinkers. The best place to start would be taking a class in gender studies at your local university or college.

Well, Zarathustra spoke of the neohuman as he journeyed.

While Nietzsche was brilliant, and immensely creative as philosophers go (Zarathustra "pops", it feels like art, not just a philosophical discourse), his views on women were admittedly limited.  Not only did he rarely write about women in specific, when he did it was from a 19th century, German zeitgeist.  Even the generally held most effective translator and scholar Walter Kaufmann pointed out this issue...as Nietzsche himself once said, even the greatest of men are still "human, all too human"

He did not like humans. He wanted to be something more, and this probably made him sick.
And as he said, humanity is something that is supposed to be exceeded.
I think he was/is right.

We cannot exceed our humanity because we are human. I can see how this would make him unhappy.

I don't like humanity or humans either. I would rather be something else I guess. But I am one and I'm going to make the best of it I can. It's not all bad and it can be made better often.

In the end we die. I think we hate this more then we hate being human.

I see your point. I don't like being human either, but that is away from what I want to discuss now.
From his(IMO) point of view, human is an a concept.
We will always be humans, and that can not change. What can change, is how we behave as a humans. And how we define humans. And from that on, again IMO, I think he did not prefer the way humans were presenting them self as humans. He was saddened by too much of false morality, stupidity and simple minded vices, realizing the unused potential of what we can be.

Ever watched the movie Idiocracy? I dont think, even trough all the doom and gloom he was in, at least in his head, that he saw the similar future. In fact, this neohuman is recurring, lets say symbol at least in Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

I also think it can be made better, which is what I am striving for at least.

Yeah, we need to change, but I'm fairly convinced now at age 56 and after making a study of myself and the world at large and history, that we will not change, and if we could it would not be fast at all. Humans have had basically the same emotional makeup throughout history, but technogoly is "evolving" faster and faster by the second.

So what to do? I think, surrender and accept, make the best, do whatever changing and workaround is possible for you as an individual because in nature exceptions exist and you may be able to change much more than most. Be satisfied with that.

And whatever happens it will be far from complete in our little lifetimes. We will have to make due with what is now even if the far future is bright.

I liked your post. I hope you will stick around this forum or at least drop in from time to time.

Thanks.
I knew you are the old school from some other posts, but at that age you must have had a long line of experiences in life behind you. So, respect for opinion, but I will not surrender, at least not yet. Gandhi said “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Whatever the case, or how long will take for some neohumans to emerge, I think it is worthwhile to strive to that, despite our objective NOW.

:peace:

When he writes about women he usually just (metaphorically) shits on them.  Though I haven't read a whole lot of his writing.
