Help with identification
    #11213239 - 10/09/09 03:52 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Hi there, ive been shrooming for about 4 years now, but im always quite happy with picking up libs and munching them down.
But recently i came across what i thought where some P. cyanescens. I was aware of poisonous look alikes and very much live by the rule "if you dont know, dont touch" but i've read a bit of litreture around these forums, seen a few photos both here and google and i still cant make my mind up wheater or not the mushrooms i found where cyans. So i took some photos in hope that someone could help with identification. I havent had a chance to take a spore print yet but i did a bruising test and the bruises where a blacky-purple colour. They where found growing in grass VERY close to a wooded area in my usual p.semilanceata spot.
Here are some pictures. Im 60% sure they're cyans but being as ive never picked them before, id appreciate the I.D Help.
Thanks,

BF.

They're not cyans. If these are growing from buried wood, then it's possible that they're a hypholoma species. A spore print would help.

I am 100% sure that they are not.

Thanks for the response's. Thought that them being cyans might be a bit too lucky! Ill just stick with the lib's!
