king boletes and gymnopilis

out walking oday and found a king bolete that was bigger that my head. literally. it was fucking huge. the stem was probably as round as a baseball. wish i coulda taken a pic of it. and also found a lot of gyms that im gonna go back and pick tonite. =) ill post pics of those when i get em. cheers.

yeah ive seen a few that I swear must have been fed some crack somewhere along the line.

its definitely fairly uncommon, but sometimes they get monstrous like ruguso-annulata can.

Like this? We found this in Mt. Hood NF. Every couple years a big one pops up.

yeah  actually it was about that size. im in BC but yeah its the biggest one i found. im just hoping to find more to post pics... im about to post pics of the gyms i found. leave me feed back on the pics ill have spore prints in the morning
